First...prepare to be covered in blood...
After dressing, cut the animal in half and load onto a quad. We used a block and tackle setup to hoist him high enough to load.
Back at camp finish quartering and skinning. There you go...almost two hunded pounds in a quarter.
We managed to get two moose this year. Mine dressed at 720 and my friends was 840 lbs. It takes a bit more work than a deer, but the quality of the meat can't be beat...well I guess you could argue that Elk is better and I would probably agree.
