I watched you leaving,
walking through the parking lot to your car.
I knew that if I ever had a chance, this was it.
But I just stood there,
with my hands against the glass,
whispering your name.
If only I had run to you,
If I had called out your name,
You would have loved me then.
You'll never love me again.
That night I laid in bed,
Remembering your every detail.
I cried to myself in the dark.
My tears give me headaches,
But it's my heartache that is so cumbersome.
I'm already missing you,
And it's only been a day.
