Well, one thing this thread shows is that some people just do not understand riddles as can be seen from some of the really lame answers.... and I do not mean bad guesses, but answers like "I think the riddle is wrong".
The answer to the hotel riddle is not flawed, but rather the mathematics are. 3 guys pay $9 each = $27 + $2 to bellhop = $29... seemingly missing $1 from, original $30. But the problem lies in the way you look at it. The guys paid $27 for a $25 room, $27 MINUS $2 for bellhop = $25. No missing money.
And what the hell does this mean?

New riddle: You are in a room with 4 walls 100000000 ft high each. There are no doors and one window. You have a compass and the window is to the south. What kind of bear is it? [/B]

What kind of bear is what? What kind of bear is the window? A bear in the room? A bear outside the window?
I am going to guess polar bear. Probably has something to do with if the window is to the south then the room MUST (incorrect assumption) be at the north pole. Very badly worded riddle.
Sphinx riddle:
What walks on 4 legs in the morning, 2 legs in the afternoon, and 3 legs in the evening?
