ok, Axis and Allies is like Risk on about a pound of steroids. It's AWESOME. And it kicks Risk's ass. Risk is a great game, don't get me wrong, but Axis and Allies is just more in depth, complicated, and just all around good.
In case you don't know, it's a WWII game. There are 5 possible roles to play - the US, Great Britain, Japan, Russia, and Germany. With 2 players, one plays the Axis and the other plays the Allies. I forget how it works with 3 or 4 players.
Anyways, it's WELL worth it. You'll love it. But know that it's also a LONGER game than Risk typically. There are times where you may start to play one night and have to finish it the next night.
