The MAC teams had a great rivalry with Marshal. I kind of hate to see them go. Several years ago, when C-USA was founded, Toledo was mentioned to join, but the didn't want to leave the MAC, so there they stay. CFlorida's membership in the MAC was pretty subject at best.
The Big East I think was looking to be more a Basketball power house than in football with those moves.
