You have one of the best situations as you have known participanats and you don't have a long term relationship that could change dramatically. You know your Ex and what makes her tick, I assume. What about this other girl? Does she turn you on? Have you met? I have had sex with strangers and the rules are totally different and a self serving experience. Answer the question "What is each person getting from this?" The look at your answer. Will having your Ex involved destroy your goal in all this? If your Ex still wants to bang you then your question of good is answered. What's this Bi-bird's story? Does she have a sexual and emotional relationship with the Ex? Watch out for that.
My experiences has been with strangers at a party, a girlfriend and her roommate and a wife and my best friend? All three were positive experiences as coming out of each there was no damage. All three were very different as context play a big role.
