As much as I don't like the idea of killing stuff, food use is alright. I don't approve of killing animals for fur, but leather is ok with me. Slaughtering a few dozen small furry things to make a status symbol that's entirely too expensive is senseless and cruel. When a cow is killed, the entire thing is used. The meat becomes food, teh skin beomes clothing, the rest becomes sausage and Slim-Jims. As far as I know, a mink is not eaten (although it probably tastes like chicken) and if it were, it would be a negligible amount of meat. Chickens become Chicken meat, feather pillows, down jackets (along with geese) and once again, Slim-Jims. If PETA wants to stop senseless death and cruelty, open some fucking homeless shelters and stop letting people freeze and starve to death.

PETA would draw and quarter me for looking at a cow funny.
