LANSING, Mich. - Sex ed in Michigan now goes beyond the birds and the bees.
The classes include lessons about jail birds, too.
The state now requires sex education classes to cover the legal consequences of underage sex. As of Oct. 1, it's a crime in Michigan to have sex with anyone under 16, even if it is consensual.
Livingston County Prosecutor David Morse says kids need to know "there are consequences beyond getting into trouble with mom and dad."

well, what can I say really? I guess I'd just like to know exactly when lawmakers forgot what puberty was like?
For some reason, people just can't get it through their heads that no matter how much they may dislike it, they can't change nature, and the bottom line to me is that when your that age, your JOB is to get away from your parents and reproduce :shrug
Instead of doing something that might actually work, like teaching about birth control and making it incredibly easy to get your hands on, they'll go ahead and ban sex...
thats like, well we think AA is stupid, so NONE you can have any alcohol, cause you might turn alkie (and we ALL know how well prohibition went over
) well mebbe not exactly like, but you get the idea...
it will be interesting to say the least on how this will play out if the DA is dumb enough to actually charge someone with this crime.
now, for the record here, I am not saying its cool for a 30 year old to bang a 15 year old, but ya know, I lost my virginity when I was 15, and ya know what, I dont see a goddamn thing wrong with two 15 year olds loving each other if thats what they wanna do, ESPECIALLY if they are smart about it... :shrug:
