I've found that Ad-Aware is -very very- slow at keeping up to date with all the spyware crap that is on the Internet. I would recommend using the program "SpybotSD Search and Destroy". You can find it at http://www.safer-networking.org/

Also, I recommend increasing IE's security levels to medium or the next one up as some things may be sneaking in via ActiveX controls.
