I've found that Ad-Aware is -very very- slow at keeping up to date with all the spyware crap that is on the Internet. I would recommend using the program "SpybotSD Search and Destroy". You can find it at http://www.safer-networking.org/
Also, I recommend increasing IE's security levels to medium or the next one up as some things may be sneaking in via ActiveX controls. |

Run both. I have seen Adaware find several, then Spybot finds more. Then use common sense while clicking things (as in: stop accepting and clicking on crap), use Zone Alarm, and get a router that denies WAN requests. All else fails, go back to stop clicking on crap and don't trust anybody.
Except me of course. |
