I'm a conservative. I don't view it as a bad thing. Does this mean I hold all the views that 'conservatives' do? No, since I am also an atheist. I don't feel bad if you call me one though.
People on the left I call liberals. For some reason people don’t' LIKE being called liberals these days, and something like only 11% of the population (I forget exactly) would identify themselves as a liberal.
Now perhaps I could say at the water cooler (though my place has a very nice refrigerator with a water/ice dispenser) 'that damn filtherton' but they wouldn't know what I was talking about, now would they.
On the other hand I could say 'The senate still won't get rid of the marriage penalty tax, we need to get rid of those damn liberals' and they would know exactly what and who I was talking about.
And while I'm at it, I wasn't calling you a liberal there fitherton, maybe you are, but that’s not the issue. There ARE liberals out there, and they ARE very mean spirited lately and they ARE funny when they are out of power, because they say the most outrageous and crazy things.
