LAN Session Planning Problems
My friends and I are currently planning a LAN session, and we have discovered that our plans may have a problem. Many of the games that we used to rely on for our prior sessions have a player max of 16 set on them (AKA UT - Half Life / Team Fortress), however many of the newer games that we are looking at playing have huge boards and require many people (AKA Castle Wolfensein - Allied Assault).
The number of people currently interested seams to be around the number of 20, and possibly more.
The delema currently is, do we put in a cap of the number of players we permit to participate so that the games with 16 player limits are still option to everyone or do we eliminate those games and use the larger games as our staple games for our session?
Any oppinions / options would be greatly appriciated and if anyone has any experience with planning any such event and has some stories to tell, I'm all ears.
Thanks in advance.
Another thing, please do not critique the choice of games or make suggestions for other games that may or may not be better options. The games are not the problem here, the platform is.
