All I have to say about your post is Mike Utley. Paralyzed because someone jumped up and came down on his head. People don't often get landed on a 300 pound lineman who just jumped ten feet in the air, in fact it never happens in the course of a game. If rice was smart enough to follow the rules then this wouldn't have mattered as Jagt missed the kick regardless of what rice did. If he hadn't taken a running start it would have been perfectly legal.
