You want to actually code the pages yourself and just look for a place to host them or you want a site to do most of the work for you?
Some of my friends use Picturetrail to show their vacationpics. I must say it looks pretty good for a free site. No popups, only 1 banner. Haven't used it myself though, so I can't say how easy it is to handle, but most of my friends aren't that web savvy, so you can assume it's not that hard.
