I agree. Holy's BEEN washed up. And what's his reason for still fighting? He wants to unite the heavyweight belts Pulllease! He never do it!

Holyfield vs. Toney is a $45 PPV, meanwhile, many good young boxers are passed over. Fights like Ward vs. Gatti are almost looked over completely, probably because there's good sportsmanship and it's about the boxing and not who can spew the most bullshit before and after the fight.
And as usual, who's to blame? The media. They want to focus completely on the storyline surrounding the fight, what moron x said to jackass y, what jackass y did to panzy z after he heard what moron x said, etc. etc. Boxing is looking more and more like professional wrestling.
The boxing organizations are to blame too, but I could go on for far too long on those people.

Amen. I totally agree. I think it's more the promoters more that the media. Promoters make the fights happen. They're destroying the sport. I've attended many, many fights and I am now very selective on which fight I go to now beacuse I get sick when I watch some of these fights. It's mostly select fighters padding they're records. You have very few competitive fights.
The fight should've never been on PPV. The Jones JR./Tarver fight is also PPV. What a joke!
