Jerry is a jerk...
Jerry Lewis invented a system we use called "video assist" whereby the camera is hooked to a recording device and one can review the scene at the time of shooting. I personally believe that is his only worthwhile contribution to the industry. (Unless it can be proven otherwise.)
I find his comedy ineffectual and crass. His reputation is far worse. He has helped his kids with his vast fortune, but more than this?
Oh, yeah, and the French think he's funny. What is wrong with the French?
