When my wife was on the pill (oh so long ago) I never pulled out. When she found that she felt better off the pill we moved to the condom and/or withdraw method (we were more or less trying to have another kid so pregnancy wasn't an issue per se).
Now that our second child has been born I've gone back to condoms and have just embarked on the ultimate in birth control... vasectomy.
