I don't and didn't buy this...
When I was married my wife and I planned it together... I had some very basic things that I wanted:
1) No church or religion - I'm not religious and don't see why God should play any role in my life when I don't believe
2) No marriage license - why do I need the city or state to tell me that it's OK to be married
3) No hissy fits from any family members (I've heard the horror stories) or the whole thing is off...
We had the most stress free wedding and 10 years later I am still getting congratulated on what was one of the most meaningful weddings.
We chose to get married on our own terms. No one officiated. We, in effect, married ourselves.
She designed her dress and I designed my jacket (others made them but the design was ours).
The only complaint was I didn't get more dessert because I was too busy thanking people for coming...
One of the happiest days of my life.
