because both of us and our families were in a state of flux at the time, everyone moving somewhere different, rather than have a big deal wedding here, inviting everyone and paying for them to get drunk, we pooled our frequent flyer miles and went to Europe, just immediate families and a few others, 14 total, and went to Paris, Rome, and then Florence, where my dad, who used to be a preacher, married us in the garden of a hotel. we had contacted the hotel before, and they made a cake and got a photographer and someone to play a harp. Then everyone left the next day, and we went to Capri. I thought it was perfect, and actually cost less than alot of weddings I've been to. I would not have changed a thing.
