The
North Cascades National Park is by far the least used national park in the northwest. That might be because the mountains are so jagged (they are some of the youngest in the world) and the glaciers so numerous (60% of the glacial cover in the continental 48 is in this park), it's really hard to get to. I had to hike 4.5 miles over a pass just to get in to the park boundary. You ain't gonna see any RV's camping out here.
It's located on the northern border of Washington State. And it's got to be one of the most beautiful places in the world.
