as far as the autocross goes, i prefer a RWD or a AWD over a front wheel drive car anyday. The average weight balance on a front wheel drive is around 60:40, and thats if its balanced really well. Ive seen a CRX that was a hair shy of 70:30, thats some crap. It takes some serious work to balance out the car without adding too much weight. The better rear and all wheel drive vehicles are 50:50. Driving a front wheel drive car with bad balance means massive understeer which means crappy, crappy times. I'd prefer either a vette, which is 50:50 balanced and has the added advantage of being able to throttle oversteer, or an AWD turbo eclipse / laser / talon.
