I'm going to give the Grandma answer and say that I like them both equally.
I was always dissapointed, however, that Sammy was never allowed to do more guitar work with Van Halen. He did on stage, but not on the VH songs. Eddies ego got in the way and they never explored the possibilities of a two-guitar band.
