Kurt Warner is getting Hosed
Am I the only person who thinks Kurt Warner is getting a raw deal? Bulger had 2 first half fumbles, losing both of them. Warner passed for more than 100 yards more than Bulger. Plus, after the two fumbles, Martz changed his gameplan and ran the ball more. In fact, Faulk had twice as many carries as last week. Bulger also threw the ball half as many times as Warner, meaning he spent far less time dropping back, which would mean getting hit and fumbling. Last week, at halftime, the commentators were questioning whether Martz should pull Warner, but not this week with Bulger. In the game wrap-up, Bulger got all of the credit for the victory, and his fumbles were glossed over. No one was calling for Manning, McNabb, Brady or Favre to be benched after week 1. Why Warner? I know he has been hurt, and Bulger did well when filling in, but Martz changes his whole gameplan when Bulger goes in the game. If Martz would make a committment to run the ball more when Warner is in the game, he would do just fine. If Martz doesn't get fired, I hope for Warner's sake that he gets traded to a team with a decent coach.
