For all the people screaming "conspiracy" here, slow down. There is no conspiracy here. This was a good fight. I feel it should have went to Oscar, but when a fight is this close, you just never know. This was not a bad decision when compared to an actual, REAL bad decision like, say, the first Lewis Holyfield fight.
I taped the fight and will watch it again. Everyone will always have differing opinions on who won when two fighters are so evenly matched.
I did feel that Oscar was tiring down the stretch (wich suprised me) and that Shane was not. The reason I thought Oscar won was that Shane just took too damn long to get started. He threw one good punch in round one, and then just stopped throwing punches.
I think Shane COULD have won dramatically if he had just stepped up a little and not given Oscar so much respect. He still seems timid since he was dropped by Forrest. And Mosley has never been known as a timid fighter.
Hopefully this win will reinstall his confidence, and he will begin to kick much ass in the division.
