1. I do full contact sports (well use to and will again) and so its not recommended that I have it done.
2. The eyes are most important sensory device I have, I'm not taking risks with them. Not even a 2% risk.
3. Whats wrong with contact lenses? They ain't that much trouble.
4. Its a silly amount of money here in the UK and I don't earn lots (public servant), but then I wouldn't do it if it was cheap.
5. Seen quite a number of horror stories about this surgery. Its not a regulated industry here. You don't even have to be a doctor or an optician to own such a business. Scary!!!!

I wear glasses by day to work (I find they are better for staring at a PC all day then Contacts).
I wear glasses at home (well no one sees me at home so no need for vanity).
I wear contacts if I go out at night (vanity and just in case I encounter violence, unlikely as that is).
