Novell Netware Login Scripts
Hey all
My schools computers (in the labs) are all networked, and they use Novell Netware as the network software, which I am not very familiar with. The rights that come along with my lab user account are not very privileged, so I can't access the Run item in the start menu, or see the C drive in my computer. I hexed regedit with edit.com so I could edit the registry, and as a result, I created a reg file that would remove these restrictions. My question is - is it possible to create a logon script in Novell to run these registry files every time I log on? I have access (by right-clicking the red N in the systray) to edit my logon script.
I have regedit.exe (patched) on my home drive, as well as the reg files. I'm not sure as to the order in which things are run - eg. if I can get this login script up and running, will it run before or after my home drive is mapped? If it's before, I'm pretty much screwed, unless I put my stuff on a floppy
NOTE: I'm not really trying to cheat the system here and get access I shouldn't have, I'm just trying to make things easier and more convenient. I'm a tech assistant at the school, and I have access to other accounts and passwords with full rights. I'd prefer to not have to keep doing switcheroos between my account and higher privileged accounts though =) In addition, my teacher said that any tinkering around with the computers would be perfectly okay. She'd give my account the necessary rights herself, if she could.
Thanks for any help!
