the amount of ground the beatles covered from "i wanna hold your hand" to "i am the walrus" in just 7 years was & is unequaled. given, they didn't have a whole lot of competition back then - it was a pretty wide open field. i always thought they were ok - kinda quaint. just since i've started playing music myself have i gained more respect for them.
