i think you're a juicy slice of man-whore, but that's besides the point.
some people have different comfort levels, and yes, some people still have archaic rules they set for themselves as far as dating goes. i learned this back in high school when i was dating mormon girls. now i'm sure this bird may be a far cry from such innocent young things (not really, you just need the right stimuli and they forget all about it, but anyways...), but it seems like you two have gotten past this point, so there isn't much else to worry about. maybe her mother made her cross her heart and promise that she'd never do so, maybe she thinks kissing is something special and should be held off until you know for sure the connections' there, maybe she just had a massive cold sore hidden under makeup and didn't wanna give it to you. whatever her reasons, i'm sure they are valid in her own mind. and as long as you smile and nod, in keeping with her silly notions, all will be fine.
