its not really editing, but if you just want to break the file down into pieces small enough to email, use Mastersplitter
its easy and will make a batch file that will reassemble the file on your buddies' machine without him having to have the program.
just google Mastersplitter and you will find a free download site like Tucows or Cnet or the like.
