i had this problem too. i'm 5'8" and used to weigh in the 160-range, then i went on a bulk and started eating 6 meals a day, a lot of water, and lifted like an freakin' animal. i stopped doing cardio and always made sure i was consuming more calories than i was burning. in six months i jumped up to 178...then eventually went on a cut and now i'm 170 with single digit bf %.
