i paid $75 to see NIN in a small club in portland oregon back in the early ninties, I think the face value on ticket was $15. Thats the most I have ever paid for a ticket. 2 tickets to sit in the grass for Jimmy buffet in Nashville was $80.
Luckilly here in nashville we have a few annual events that get good names for little or no money. River stages (

They put on a show called dancin in the district every thursday on the waterfront with various groups from different genres. Last year ended with blues traveller. I heck of a deal for a free event. This year they are actually charging an admission buy its only $3 (

Of course there more country than you can stand in the clubs here, unfortunatly thats my least fav type of music.
