I'm a cafe manager, and see people ask for cheddar with their apple pie. First time I saw that I was completely shocked and dumbfounded - I had never heard of that before. Was always, and still am, the warmed with vanilla ice cream type of person. Even better with some caramel sauce over top of it!
tonight I had a slice of toffee apple cheesecake - holy crap that was amazing!
maybe one day I'll work up the courage for the cheddar thing
