I've been trying to set up a wireless bridge to connect to my university's (University of Wisconsin, Madison) free wireless network to my LAN. I know it's not a signal problem because I've taken my laptop and bridge right to the antenna and I have the same problem. I've also built an antenna to recieve a better signal, even though i'm not more than 70 feet from the antenna.
Here's my setup, I have a Linksys WET11 wireless ethernet bridge, I have the SSID set to what my university wants (wireless-wiscworld) and I believe I have all the rest of the settings correct. When I asked the tech support on campus they tell me it should work, there are no special settings. I have the TCP/IP and DHCP on and the Microsoft Networking on, and everything seems like it should work, but it doesnt!

also, when I run ipconfig the DNS suffix is blank and so is the default gateway.
