Ya, not only did I love the remake of Night of the Living Dead, but I even liked the new ending that they went with.
As far as the remake of DOTD, the only big name star in it is Ving Rhames, the rest are all unfamiliar names (which made me breath a sigh of relief). Shooting began in June 2003 in Toronto, Canada. The mall scenes will be using Thornhill Square Mall through June and July.
