Sigh. Yep, I heard that and I'm in the same boat you are. There's nothing wrong with the original film. If they fuck it up with alot of rap/metal soundtrack and Freddie Prinze Jr.'s I'm gonna be pissed.
Having said that though, I thought Savini's remake of "Night" was pretty great. Tony Todd kicks alot of ass.

Another rumor is that Romero already has the 4th dead movie ready to go, but is finding it hard to get the funds to make it. They even said the movie will most likely be called Twighlight of the Dead. The story is supposed to take place way in the future of the dead series, where the zombies wander the streets sorta like street bums and the people have gotten used to their presence. That is pretty much all I heard about it.

Heard that too. Romero has always had trouble with funding, but then again, Hollywood's never been very big on flesh-eating monsters. Their loss. At least Romero makes 'em the way he wants to, as opposed to how Hollywood wants it (read my above comments about Freddie Prinze Jr.).
