The best advice I can give is not to take any of ours. Take your favorite CD's with you to a major store like Tweeter or Fry's and ask the nice man to let you demo all the headphones with YOUR music.
Headphone reviews often focus on sound quality. It's easy to forget about comfort sometimes. Never forget the comfort factor.
Some headphones have closed designs while others are open. Closed headphones have more bass and block out the outside world. Open headphones tend to have more accurate sound reproduction but allow outside sounds in.
Anyway, I have a pair of Sennheiser 590's that I bought off ebay. They're one of the best purchases I've ever made. Next to my wedding ring, they're probably my favorite possession. I love them that much. Velvet earpads, how can you go wrong?
