Power splitters, unplug on of you disc drives and plug a power splitter into the power cord and it'll usually give you a couple of extra power ports, neon lights usually hook up to them. However people are moving away from using the standard neon lights.
I'd recommend throwing away your IDE cables and getting glow-in the dark ones or at least reflective ones. I've just finished modding my case but have yet to cut a window into the side-panel.
Once you're done you'll wish you had done it ages ago, it just looks so much better modded up.
