Tech Support @ Compaq
I've got a quick question for any admins who have dealt with Compaq in the last 4 years.
Up until today, I was able to get phone support for my business class workstations (Deskpro, Evo) whenever I needed it. I'd always been told that with the business class machines, I'd have lifetime phone support.
I never had reason to doubt this. I've called Compaq recently for support on an old Deskpro 2000 that was probably 4-5 years out of warranty.
Today I was told by a Compaq tech that for the last 3 weeks they've been told to no longer offer technical support to workstations beyond their warranty.
Needless to say, I've been scrambling trying to find a copy of the paperwork.
Any of you had a similar experience?
