I think it was kicked out of the nest, we found some racoons in our yard and did the same thing. Dunno what the cat would do, but we showed it to the dog and the dog just chomped on it, so no more of that.
If we let it go now it would die, it dosen't have its teeth yet and dosen't eat solid foods.
