That is some strange advice.. I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth pulled (all 4 of them were impacted, which makes them more difficult to remove) and I never heard any advice like this!
The only I had to do was avoid sucking on anything, e.g. straws, joints, cocks.
Just playing.. but the reason you can't suck on anything is because you may get "dry sockets" or an infection in the wounds. And you have to use that silly little syringe to cleanse the wounds with water all the time.
The painkillers were nice, though.
