Wisdom Teeth
Well, after a while of them hurting me I finally got my wisdom teeth taken out, all four, three were cut and one was pulled. Anybody out their got any good tips, suggestions or stories? Any thing that I should know that the dentist didn't tell me? My thing is, if wisdom teeth are so wise why do they grow in all crazy like? I know that's pretty stupid but i've been on pain killers all day so everything is pretty funny to me. :-)

I was freaked out when I got my wisdom teeth pulled because of "advice" from the dentist. I'm always playing with my tongue in my mouth. The dentist told me not to for a few days since my mouth would be numb and it was possible for me to chew off my tongue without realizing it. I stayed slack-jawed for quite a while. And everytime I did catch myself doing something with my tongue I ran to the mirror to make sure it was still intact.

The only I had to do was avoid sucking on anything, e.g. straws, joints, cocks. Just playing.. but the reason you can't suck on anything is because you may get "dry sockets" or an infection in the wounds. And you have to use that silly little syringe to cleanse the wounds with water all the time. The painkillers were nice, though.

I think its just luck bro. I did everything the dentist told me to do and avoided all the stuff he said not to do and still got infected. My brother was eating cheese burgers and smoking cigarettes the next day and he was fine.
of course his came right out and i was in the chair for 3 hours getting them cut, ground, and cracked to get them out. |

Luckily we are evolving! Some of us do not grow all 4 wisdom teeth (I had only one myself) due to the fact that they are no longer needed. Use lots of listerine and be patient -- the pain does go away.

I remember when I had my 4 removed. The dentist allowed my to bring my walkman, so I had Pink Floyd playing when the demerol/valium drip kicked in. Seemed like it was over in no time. I even asked the dentist if he'd remembered to get them all.
My mother drove me home afterwards. The drive home must have been interesting. We apparently had a wonderful conversation. After 15 years, she still won't tell me what I said. She just smiles and says she learned a lot about her son that day.
