I know you didn't ask for suggestions but... you might consider giving her two things, one public and one private.

e.g. a bracelet that she can wear at the wedding and a silver hairbrush with her new name engraved.

Either way, it doesn't have to be expensive but it should be something permanent, something that she will still have in 70 years.

Expanding on your idea of stationery, what about an embossing seal with her new name. That way, regardless of what paper she uses she can personalize it.
