More than Piazza, more than Jeter, Shockey is the "it" boy in New York at the moment. Everything he says, does, and everywhere he goes is captured. I'm not sure what he said or didn't say, but he should know better. It's alot better for high profile athletes to just keep their mouths shut. Of course, then we say "Michael Jordan never STOOD for anything," or "Barry Bonds is SO reclusive. How awful." Shockey isn't about to keep a low profile. New York is his for the taking, he benefits from the pub, so he needs to take his lumps with his sugar.
