		 I agree to some extent with sbscout that using literal scripture to justify your feelings is somewhat intellectually lazy. If you've come to a conclusion based on reason and on sincere beliefs, I don't think there's a need to back it up by reinterpreting scripture depending on your opinion of the day. I think it's admirable that you've come to such a compassionate conclusion that is consistent with your strongly held religious beliefs.
