SMASH!!!! That has absolutely NO Potatoes innit, although probably loads of Carbs!
Best way I found to cut the Carbs was to only allow 1 portion a day. 1 sandwich or 1 mash (no butter), or 1 muffin. You don't have to cut them out completely unless you are trying to drop a stone (14lbs) before your next concert tour. Do it slowly over a month and you'll/(she) see the difference.
