I don't use either, I use ICE-Experimental. Besides the lack of a desktop, it loads really fast, basically finish hitting enter, and I'm pretty much ready to go, and the con is no desktop but that doesn't bother me.
When I used KDE or Gnome, I prefered KDE as it didn't freeze on me as much as Gnome did.
