I'd like to see a lot more about the study before I comment, but have they accounted for other factors like socio-economic status, parental behavior, abuse, drug/alcohol use (both the girl's and the parents'), etc.
I guess what I'm saying is: is it the absence of the father that causes this, or some other factor related to the father's absence (either that caused his absence or caused by his absence) that leads to more sexual activity?
