Potatoes
Not sure if this should be here or the Health & Fitness board, but what the hell.
My wife has just decided she needs to lose weight. Now, this girl is a lean size 8, so don't ask me. Must be something deep and bizare in the female brain. The girl is too thin for the 27 inch hipster jeans I bought her on my last trip overseas!
Anyway, she has (in her infinite wisdom) chosen a "low-carb diet". To be honest, I think most of these diets are 50/50 common sense and bunkum. But that's not the point.
The main issue I'm struggling with is the "low carb" deal. This means, much to my utter horror, no more potatoes.
I LOVE potatoes.
They're my favourite vegetable, and I like vegetables.
Being an Irishman, I'm sure there will be some corny or smart-arse comments, but seriously... it really has to be the King of Vegetables.
There are SO many things you can do with them. They taste so good!
How am I going to last?
