| murph2che - Let's keep the rampant bashing of MS at a minimum, ok?  We give friendly advice here.
 Productive advice: USB 1.0 or 1.1 hardware can be used on a USB 2.0 interface, but unfortunately USB 2.0 hardware cannot be used on older hardware.  What you can do (as was recommended above) is buy a cheap PCI USB 2.0 card (I see them for around 10$ on NewEgg) and use that.
 
 As for "buy a Mac!", well, you won't get all of the functionality of the iPod (ie: iTunes integration) on Windows, but you shouldn't have any major problems, as Apple has stated that it runs on Windows.
