i realize that, it was just the first example i came up with. i agree that "camming" with someone other than your SO would be a violation of trust (although i don't know if i would go as far as calling it cheating), but to say that "anything you do that you wouldn't want to tell your girl about is cheating" is overly vague and doesn't take into account other factors.
cheating = wrong
lying to girlfriend = wrong
lying != cheating. (it can, but that's if your cheating and lying about cheating).
how about this... you like to have a monthly poker game with friends from work. your SO is completely against any type of gambling, SO thinks its immoral or something. when you play, does telling her you're having a guys night out constitute cheating? even if you directly say "i'm not gambling?" no, it doesn't. it may be lying, or omitting facts, but you're not cheating.
